aprons...but why!!? does this sound ridiculous?
explanation...
1)i love lucy. i love vintage. i love aprons. put these things together, and it creates a desire within me to sew. i am not a great sewer, and most times it frustrates me. sometimes i hate it!
2)anytime during the last 6 months that i didn't feel great about something- i thought about sewing aprons and it cheered me up. why? i believe it is because i have a huge desire to create. creating = happiness for me. and ultimately i want to be happy. all the time!!
3)it is something to do for myself. not for others, but just for ME. it is not to make money, promote my "talents" or anything like that. just a desire to make something and see it come to be!
SOOO...i am challenging myself to make an apron per week this year! if you read the title it said 'or otherwise'...that is to allow myself an "out". if i dont' have it in me to sew an apron one week, you might see a new bag...or a loaf of bread! as long as i am creating something...i will achieve my goal.
i realize this may seem an odd goal to many. why not run a marathon...hike chief mountain...write a novel...go back to college.
this is just me. this is who i am. i DO have certain challenges that keep me from doing extreme physical goals...at least for right now.
and i love to be at home, doing something productive. so i have something to show for my efforts!
so...stay tuned. hopefully you will see a new photo of a new apron each week!
let the fun begin!!!!!
